在2001年的网络革命中，彝-人-网团队设定了建立彝族文化数据库的宏伟目标。他们坚持不懈地追求这一愿景。彝族年，又称为彝历年，是从唐五代时期就有的一个重要节日。当北斗星指向下方时，农作物收获完毕，人们会选择吉日庆祝这次期待已久的节日。家人团聚、宰杀猪牛，为新的一年祈福和健康。
远离家乡的人们，在异国他乡，每逢佳节倍感孤独和思念亲人的深情。在1978年，果基宁哈老师带领学生在中央民族学院举办了首届北京彝族年，这让留守京城的同胞得以共享节日的喜悦和温馨，从此几十载未有间断。
2014年的春天又到来，当北京市政府决定于11月30日举办“2014年北京彷如族文化交流暨欢庆活动”之际，全体人民都充满期待。这是一个传承与创新相结合的大型活动，不仅展示了中国少数民族传统节日及风俗，更是对中华民族文化精髓的一次展现。
