经过邓真人的传授和自己的努力学习,邓紫阳 eventually gained a deep understanding of the principles of Daoism。
After his time in the South, 邓紫阳 traveled to other sacred mountains and visited various places where immortals dwell. He then returned home to visit his family before continuing his journey. On his way back, he received a divine sword from heaven and was gifted with the martial arts skills by the gods after reciting "Heavenly Chariot Incantation". In 713 AD, Emperor Xuanzong summoned him to the capital city for further instruction.
To promote Daoism, Emperor Xuanzong dispatched 邦公明 (Deng Zhiyang) on a mission to inspect Daoist temples across thirty-six prefectures in Jiangnan region. After completing this task in one year, Deng returned to the capital. The emperor granted him the title "Purple Yang" and presented him with purple robes and silk as well as two important temples: Foftang Monastery in eastern capital Chang'an and Longxing Monastery in his hometown.
In 742 AD, Deng was appointed by imperial edict to perform rituals at several sacred sites including Zhongyue Mountain、Wangwushan、Huangguoshu Waterfall、Zongsan Temple, etc.. During this period he also established several shrines dedicated to Northern Heavenly Master(Běi Tiān Shī)and Four Sages(Sì Shèng),which later became influential centers of worship.
Emperor Xuanzong bestowed upon 邵公明 (Deng Zhiyang) three secret techniques known as Taiyi Sanmen () along with six talismans representing Yu Huang (), which were inscribed on gold plates using jade script. This transmission continued through generations until it reached Li Congjia who discovered these secrets within an ancient book hidden inside an amulet around his waist after mastering three types of scriptures.
As a result of all these efforts made by 邵公明 (Deng Zhiyang), Tang dynasty saw widespread spread of Northern Heavenly Master cult throughout China under support from royal courts like those ruled by Wu Zetian,, Dezong,, Xuānzōng,, Wuzōng,, Xuānzōng,. By virtue of their patronage many shrines were built dedicated specifically to Northern Heavenly Master or Four Sages; so that Cult spread rapidly across entire country.
Thus concludes our tale about Tang Dynasty’s famous figure – DENG Zi-Yang – whose remarkable journey took place during such historic times!
